How it works

Less hair, session by session.

Laser hair removal at ABA uses the Lutronic Clarity II, a dual-wavelength laser (755 nm and 1064 nm). Light is absorbed by the pigment in each hair follicle, heating and disabling it while the surrounding skin is left intact.

Cold-air cooling keeps the skin comfortable throughout. Because hair grows in cycles, treatment is delivered as a course. Over time most clients notice long-term hair reduction, and any regrowth is often finer and lighter.

Clarity II

Dual-wavelength 755 / 1064 nm laser.

Clarity II combines 755 nm and 1064 nm lasers in one platform. Having both wavelengths lets the practitioner match the laser to your skin type and the target, from unwanted hair to redness and pigment.

Its IntelliTrak system measures skin temperature in real time and delivers energy evenly as the handpiece glides across the skin.

Cryo 6

Cold-air cooling during laser treatment.

Cryo 6 directs air at around −30 °C onto the skin during and after laser treatment. Cooling the surface makes treatment more comfortable and helps reduce swelling.

From first conversation to final result.

    Consultation

    We look at your hair colour, skin type and the areas you would like treated, and plan a course to suit. Please shave the area the day before and avoid tanning.

  2. 02

    Preparation

    The skin is cleansed and the laser settings are matched to your skin type and hair.

  3. 03

    Treatment

    Most people feel a brief stinging or pinching, eased by cold-air cooling. Sessions take from five minutes for small areas to about an hour for larger ones.

  4. 04

    Aftercare

    Protect treated skin from the sun for at least a week with SPF 30+. Between sessions, shave rather than wax or pluck, and avoid saunas and intense exercise for a day or two.

Your practitioner will confirm settings and a course plan at your first visit. A $50 deposit secures your appointment and comes off your treatment on the day.

Good to know.

How many sessions will I need?+

Most people need a course of sessions spaced four to six weeks apart. The number depends on hair colour, skin type and the area treated, and occasional maintenance sessions may help keep results.

How long do results last?+

Laser treatment gives long-term hair reduction rather than complete removal. Some hairs may return over time, usually finer and lighter, and can be addressed with maintenance sessions. Results vary.

Does it hurt?+

Most people describe a brief stinging or pinching that is easy to tolerate. Cold-air cooling is used throughout to keep you comfortable.

Is the clinic licensed for laser?+

Yes. ABA meets NSW requirements for laser treatment, and our practitioners hold Laser and IPL Safety Officer qualifications. Licences are displayed in clinic.
