How it works

A brighter, more even complexion.

Laser toning passes gentle, even pulses of light across the skin. The energy is drawn to excess melanin and helps break it down, while mild warmth encourages collagen renewal for a smoother, brighter finish.

Because each session is gentle, toning suits regular treatment and fits easily into a busy week. It is often chosen for melasma and post-inflammatory marks, which tend to respond better to a steady, careful course than to strong single treatments.

Ideal for

  • —Dull, tired or uneven skin tone
  • —Melasma and darker patches on the cheeks or forehead
  • —Marks left behind after breakouts
  • —Brightening before an event, or on the neck, back and underarms

The technology

What we use, and why.

Lutronic

Hollywood Spectra

Dual-wavelength 1064 / 532 nm laser.

Hollywood Spectra is a 1064 and 532 nm laser platform with very short pulses and high peak power. We use it to break up pigment, refine tone and pores, and for the Hollywood Laser Peel (carbon peel).

Very short pulses limit heat in the surrounding skin, so downtime is usually minimal.

  • —Pigment, toning and pores
  • —Hollywood Laser Peel
  • —Suits a wide range of skin types

Lutronic

Clarity II

Dual-wavelength 755 / 1064 nm laser.

Clarity II combines 755 nm and 1064 nm lasers in one platform. Having both wavelengths lets the practitioner match the laser to your skin type and the target, from unwanted hair to redness and pigment.

Its IntelliTrak system measures skin temperature in real time and delivers energy evenly as the handpiece glides across the skin.

  • —Hair reduction, redness, pigment and acne
  • —Real-time skin temperature monitoring
  • —Paired with Cryo 6 cold-air cooling

Q-Switched Laser

Nanosecond pulses for pigment.

Q-switched lasers deliver extremely short, high-energy pulses that break pigment into tiny particles, which the body then clears naturally. The same principle is used for pigment, toning and fading unwanted cosmetic tattoo.

  • —Pigment and toning
  • —Cosmetic tattoo fading

Your visit

From first conversation to final result.

  1. 01

    Consultation

We assess your pigment and skin type, talk through your goals, and choose the toning laser best suited to you.

  2. 02

    Cleansing

Skin is gently cleansed so the light can reach it evenly. Most people do not need numbing for toning.

  3. 03

    Treatment

The laser is passed evenly over the area. You may feel light tingling or warmth, and the skin is cooled with chilled air afterwards.

  4. 04

    Aftercare

Most people return to their day straight away. Mild redness settles quickly; daily moisturiser and sun protection are essential.

Questions

Good to know.

Can laser toning help melasma?+

It can help soften melasma over a course of gentle sessions. Melasma is influenced by sun, hormones and genetics, so it is managed rather than cured, and strict daily sun protection is part of the plan.

How many sessions will I need?+

It depends on your skin and the depth of pigment. A course spaced two to four weeks apart is usually recommended, followed by maintenance.

Is there any downtime?+

Usually very little. Some redness can appear and fades quickly. Occasionally small whiteheads or itchiness appear and settle on their own within a few days.

How long do results last?+

Results vary. Pigment can return with sun exposure, so good skincare, daily sunscreen and occasional maintenance sessions help keep skin bright.

Individual results vary. Suitability is confirmed at consultation; temporary redness, swelling or tenderness may occur.
