How it works

Clearer skin, spot by spot.

Laser pigment reduction uses specific wavelengths of light that are absorbed by melanin. The pigment heats and breaks into fine fragments, which the body then clears away gradually over the following weeks.

Our full-face and localised protocols combine the laser with cleansing, LED light therapy, cooling and a finishing serum to support comfort and recovery. Single spots and areas on the body can be treated on their own.

Ideal for

  • —Freckles
  • —Sun spots and age spots
  • —Scattered or uneven surface pigment
  • —Pigmented spots on the hands, arms or body

The technology

What we use, and why.

Q-Switched Laser

Nanosecond pulses for pigment.

Q-switched lasers deliver extremely short, high-energy pulses that break pigment into tiny particles, which the body then clears naturally. The same principle is used for pigment, toning and fading unwanted cosmetic tattoo.

  • —Pigment and toning
  • —Cosmetic tattoo fading

Lutronic

Hollywood Spectra

Dual-wavelength 1064 / 532 nm laser.

Hollywood Spectra is a 1064 and 532 nm laser platform with very short pulses and high peak power. We use it to break up pigment, refine tone and pores, and for the Hollywood Laser Peel (carbon peel).

Very short pulses limit heat in the surrounding skin, so downtime is usually minimal.

  • —Pigment, toning and pores
  • —Hollywood Laser Peel
  • —Suits a wide range of skin types

Zimmer

Cryo 6

Cold-air cooling during laser treatment.

Cryo 6 directs air at around −30 °C onto the skin during and after laser treatment. Cooling the surface makes treatment more comfortable and helps reduce swelling.

  • —Used alongside laser treatments
  • —Continuous, even cooling

Your visit

From first conversation to final result.

  1. 01

    Consultation

We examine your pigment, skin type and history, confirm which spots are suitable for laser, and give you an estimate of the sessions involved.

  2. 02

    Preparation

Skin is cleansed, and a numbing cream can be applied for around 30 minutes depending on the area and your comfort. If you’d like it, please bring your own, as we don’t supply it.

  3. 03

    Treatment

Each spot or area is treated with carefully chosen settings. Full-face and localised protocols finish with LED light therapy, chilled-air cooling and a soothing serum.

  4. 04

    Aftercare

Spots darken and form fine scabs within a few days, which lift away naturally. Keep skin moisturised, protect it from the sun, and skip make-up for about a week.

Questions

Good to know.

How many sessions will I need?+

It varies with skin type, the depth of the pigment and where it sits. Some spots respond in one or two sessions; others need a longer course. We will give you an estimate at consultation.

Why not treat more aggressively to finish sooner?+

Higher energy raises the risk of post-inflammatory darkening. We prefer steady, measured settings that give skin time to recover between sessions.

Can pigment come back?+

It can, particularly with sun exposure. Daily sunscreen and a consistent skincare routine help results last, and occasional maintenance may be recommended.

What if a treated area darkens afterwards?+

Temporary darkening a week or two after treatment can happen and usually fades over one to two months. Gentle laser toning can help it settle sooner.

Individual results vary. Suitability is confirmed at consultation; temporary redness, swelling or tenderness may occur.
